Cannabisenthusiasts looking for a high that’s heavier have now begun turning towards shatter. This weed concentrate packs up to 80% cannabinoid giving it a more potent hit. Shatter is sometimes categorized as dabs, a term used when referring to cannabis products made through extracting THC and CBD. It is made through using a solvent such as butane, propane, or carbon dioxide through the buds in order to pull the cannabinoids from the plant. The solvent is then allowed to evaporate leaving behind resins. It is called “shatter” because the leftover resin is glassy and looks similar to a hardened caramel. When it is dropped, the resin shatters into smaller pieces.
